At Indian Impressions, we take great pride in our handcrafted decor. We want you to love your purchase, but we understand that sometimes things don't go to plan. Our policy is designed to be fair and compliant with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Change-of-Mind Returns (14 Days)
We offer a 14-day change-of-mind return period from the date of delivery.
- Conditions: Items must be unused, unopened, in original packaging (including all protective inserts), with tags attached.
- Remedy: Approved change-of-mind returns are issued as Store Credit only. Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Exclusions: Sale/clearance items, gift cards, and custom orders are ineligible for change-of-mind returns.
- Costs: All return shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the customer. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
2. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, please contact us at admin@indianimpressions.com.au or 0420 347 327 within 48 hours of delivery.
- Resolution: For items with a "Major Failure" (as defined by ACL), you are entitled to a choice of a full refund to your original payment method or a replacement.
- Handcrafted Nature: Since our decor is handcrafted, slight variations in finish, colour, grain, and texture are inherent characteristics of the artisanal process and are not considered faults.
- Return Shipping: For confirmed defects or shipping errors, Indian Impressions will cover the return shipping costs or arrange collection.
3. Pre-Dispatch Records & Rejected Returns
We maintain detailed pre-dispatch photo records of every item to ensure quality. We cannot provide a refund or replacement for:
- Damage occurring after delivery or due to improper handling/assembly.
- Items showing signs of wear, use, or DIY repairs (painting, gluing, etc.).
- Items that do not match our pre-dispatch inspection photos.
- Items damaged during return transit due to insufficient packaging. All returns must be sent back in their original foam, inserts, and protective wrapping.
4. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies the consumer guarantees entitled to you under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). If you believe your product has a manufacturing fault beyond the 14-day period, please contact us to discuss a remedy.
